Does Your Mind Prevent or Propel Your Potential
Among the topics we like to discuss, one of the most important is the topic of motivation… where to find it, how to use it, and how to keep it fresh so as to help us stay on track toward our goals.
Let’s face it, it is not always easy to make the right choices, or carry enough discipline, or find the extra “oomph!” to achieve our ambitions.
Sometimes, it seems the objective is too overwhelming… like, the goal post is just too far away.
Like it or not, our minds can either work with us, or against us… either help or hinder our progress.
It’s like the old saying goes,
“Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t… you are right.“
For this reason, we are fond of sharing stories of achievement about overcoming obstacles on the path to reaching goals.
However, as much as we love real-life examples, there are times when no one says it better than Hollywood.
The following is a scene from the movie, “Facing the Giants”.
The reason I find it motivational is because it reminds me that many of the limitations we believe about ourselves, are actually self-imposed.
